The band in the community
The village of Llwydcoed is a friendly place and the band is at the heart of the community opposite the football ground, the welfare hall and near the local chapel, church and pub. We are proud of our village and the diverse community it supports. Its the kind of place you vist and never really want to leave, in fact if you stay here long enough you'll become part of the place just like us. There's no shopping mall or superstore. There's no nightlife except the warm welcome of your local with its cellar full of real ale and a kitchen serving good home cooking. Llwydcoed is an honest place. No pretensions, false smiles or big business clamouring for your attention. Pay us a visit and you'll see what we mean.
The band's collection of competition silverware is on display in the Red Cow Pub across the road from the welfare hall where the band holds its rehearsals. We support the community and provide music at Christmas, for the remberance parade and for community festivals.
The band also raises money for UK and international charities such as Christian Aid and likes to feel that its music has the ability to help create a strong and vibrant community withn the village and beyond.
